John Edward Heys collection, 1969-2009 (bulk 1995-2009).

The collection includes 24 issues of Gay Power magazine, 1969-1970; photographs of Heys and his friends; and artifacts and ephemera relating to gay culture, nightlife, activism, and AIDS awareness. The ephemera largely takes the form of postcards and fliers for gay nightclubs, performances, art, films, and safer sex promotions predominantly in New York City and Berlin, and to a lesser extent, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The bulk of the ephemera dates from the 1990s to the present.
